My ip location is coming as Panjim, Goa. Any solution?

I am from Amravati (Maharashtra). From 2-3 days the location of my ip is coming as Panjim Goa which is almost more than 900 kms away from my place. I have tried restarting the router but the location remained same. Bsnl employee is having no clue regarding the same. I get errors when I login to my various accounts that I have logged in from a new location. Even I hahve started getting lags while gaming and a whatsapp message takes 5-6 seconds to deliver a message. Any solution for the same?
 
None of those appear related to a geo location mismatch. Not denying that there is a problem with lags or increased latency etc but it may not have anything to do with the location tagged to your IP address.

So instead of trying to make the location show up correctly (which by itself will not help you in any way), maybe raise a complaint with the actual issue.
 
@varkey Ok will try raising complaint today. I hope the problems get solved because the officials in my city blame NIB for everything.
 
I think the location is based on the IP address alloted to you. There's a particular range of addresses that are alloted to a particular region as a approximate estimate of ur location. Also it originates from the major NIB office near to you. I think location won't matter with pings and speeds. If so, once upon a time most ppl in South India used to get Bangalore as their location because of it's dominance in internet backbone. So yeah it depends on ur IP address
