Iam Connecting my
Linksys (Lingo Service Provider) Like this
Teracom Broaband(Line 1)-->My
Laptop
Teracom Broaband(Line 2)-->Linksys (Lingo Service Provider)
Linksys (Lingo Serv(Line 1)-->Land Line Phone
When iam dialing **** followed by 100# from Land line it says IP as 192.168.1.5
and my Teracom Broaband IP is 192.168.1.1
Now when i want to cee the settings of Linksys (Lingo Service Provider) By hitting the
url 192.168.1.5 its not opening the Settings page for Linksys (Lingo Service Provider).
That's weird but perhaps not the issue at this point - there's the chance that Lingo has disabled configuration in this device (which seems from looking at it to be exactly the same as my Linksys PAP-2T, only with firmware customized for their service)
Issue1). Iam connecting to internet by clicking on ICON created on my desktop and there is already my BSNL UserName and password is Saved , Now my query is how Linksys (Lingo Service Provider) will connect to internet ? as there do not have any UserName password saved ? Is there any way that my net will connected automatically on starting my laptop so that my Linksys (Lingo Service Provider) will do the same.
Issue1).
I would suggest that this is your problem. Because you are essentially using a dialup connection, your Lingo box doesn't know how to reach the Internet: it's assuming (correctly) that it should go through the Teracom device, but since the Teracom device isn't the bit that's actually establishing the connection, it simply thinks that there is no connection.
You need to change the way you connect by changing your
router from "Bridge" to "PPPoE" mode, which will involve putting your BSNL username and password into your Teracom modem's settings and using the modem to establish the connection rather than your PC.
To do this, you'll need to go to
http://192.168.1.1 in your browser and change the necessary settings - how to do this should be available in your modem's manual - in most modems, there is WAN and LAN configuration: WAN will be where you have the connection type and enter the username and password, LAN you probably can leave as it is.
Doing this will mean that both your Lingo device and your laptop will have an always-on connection (as long as the modem is on and connected and the
ADSL light is on), so once your computer is able to access the internet without having to dial up, then plug your Lingo box back in to your modem and try to see if you get a dial-tone. As an added bonus, your laptop won't even have to be on in order for you to make a phone call with your Lingo service.
Issue2)=> If there is any port forwarding option is possible can you please guide me how can i do this.
This will be somewhere in the Teracom modem's settings under LAN - some modems call it "Virtual Servers", others call it "Port Forwarding" - again, this should be in your modem's manual.
