My TP Link archer C50 is stuck at 100mbps in 5ghz wireless

Either way, Cat5 and Cat6 and Cat6a are outdated and not futureproof. Cat7 is futureproof for home users.

Yo im using the same TP-Link c50 router and my internet speed is 300mbps im getting approx 295mbps on ethernet and 190-230mbps on 5ghz when i change channel and channel width i get 250+mbps speed so i dont think its a marketing tactic and also my friend having the same router and same speed he is also getting same speeds as mine...

Cat 6 cable is full-on certified to handle Gigabit speeds--it's meant to handle it and it does it the best. But if you need to be future proof then the more expensive ones are available.

I rather discarded all cat5 & 5E long back. Cat 6 are since many years now....

Gigabit is not futureproofing. 10G is. Cat7 can handle 10G at frequencies higher than Cat6a.
