There is nothing official.Because in 1992 when he was awarded the Bharat Ratna people approached the court asking the GOI to furnish proof of the fact that he was dead.GOI couldnot.

The Mukherjee commision the only commision not set up by a Congress govt said that NSCB didnt die in 1945 but by the time the report came govt had changed and the MMS govt rejected the report without giving any reason.

Its the Nehru and Congress narrative and they are hell bent on keeping it that way.
