Suggest me a best split AC with wifi for top floor since it is only 100 sqft 1 ton is enough right sunlight hitting only on the roof rest of the walls are inside no direct sunlight. Thinking of buying LG ai+ 1 ton ac is it a good brand with after sales service will it last for 20 years?

My AC got installed today after I made a scene at Reliance. Compared to bluestar AC I have LG won't give cooling within 10 minutes it need a minimum of 30 min to cool down the room. So If anyone planning to buy LG then buy the models with wifi and cool the room in advance before you arrive

yeah. my 15 year old Hitachi (window, non inverter of course) is a monster. would cool up the room within minutes. i also think the cool air from it is kind of softer and does not annoy me while i am sleeping. the LG split air seems like stabbing me. i can't explain why.

When I was doing my research for getting the AC, I did read that LG went over conservative in that year with their Inverter series to save power. But their newer models with AI backed and what not seemed like they might have improved the cooling capacity back to what it was earlier. But that doesn't seem to be the case.

Window Ac's fro O general, Hitachi, White Westinghouse, Mitsubishi were very powerful and really had good chilling effect. But I think they replied on push mechanism something which gave good results but were inefficient when it came to power consumption.

@minuteman Try max ac fan speed.
LG ac have 5 fan air speed in comparison to others 3 so you can put speed to super low, that why they are silent however it affects cooling.

LG team charges 2500 plus for installation with basic stuff like one stand for outdoor unit and no extra copper or electric wire.

Also LG has a high cool mode which activates the fan at more than max speed possible in normal mode. I think HC mode works for 30mins before switching to normal.

1. Power efficiency. I didn't have the need for ultra high cooling and Mumbai's weather is more humid than being hot.
2. Cost.
3. Most important black ocean costing along both inner and outer copper tubes. I live nearby creek and the salt+corrosion in the air damaged my barely used Hitachi ac copper tubes. Since this was a recurring issue, I needed some protective coating over copper tubes.
4. Better BEEE rating. I mean I had Voltas too for 5* but it just made it to 5*, while LG made good gains with higher beee number.

It was a close competition between LG and Panasonic. Since heard a lot about LG's ASS after testing the new washing machine, I chose LG.

I have also felt the exact same thing with my decade+ old LG window AC compared to newer split AC. Wonder what this is all about
