Need credit card favor

Friend of mine wants to write GRE and has to pay the fee to book a slot. Thing is, GRE site only accepts credit cards, not debit. Amount is 12800Rs (~200$).

Can anyone pay the fee thru credit card on my behalf? Ill neft the amount to your account before you pay from your credit card. Thanks in advance

I don't have credit card. I heavily recommend to get an International Debit card instead of doing this. Quite easy to get. HDFC/Axis/ICICI/SBI international debit cards usually work.

I have to be honest with you mate, as much as anyone would like to help... I think using a Credit Card for practically a stranger over the internet (no matter how noble the cause is) is something that most will hesitate to do. I think you should also reconsider this instead of just us as it's equally dangerous to you.

As much as I want to help, there's this factor always involved even though we all talk here and are long time members.

Instead of asking here, I recommend checking with your close group of relatives/friends instead who know you personally if a CC is required. Otherwise, you should definitely try an international Debit card but I don't think they work so well thanks to the government.

I would have done it if the amount was under 5k. Over ten makes it hard for me to explain to dad who does my it returns

No problem. I only thought of asking a few old members here but I was in a hurry. Got it from a friend International debit card and VCC didn't work surprisingly.

Also with my friends' credit card, the amount got deducted but it didnt reflect on the GRE site. Called them and they said that such errors happen and I can be able to book a slot on tuesday morning. Understandibly, friend is pissed

I have both hdfc and dad has sbi. Only credit cards will work itseems.

My brother has HDFC Platinum Debit card and it works for $ transactions just fine. You have to enable international payments option. Contact branch for more details.
