for your needs, an 8600gt 256mb ddr3 would suffice. you should get one for 4k or less. anything higher than an 8600gt would require you to change your PSU, though it would be like on the edge for 8600gt.get another gig of ram.

its widely reported that xfx 8600 gt has overheating problem, so if you are going for 8600 gt, then buy some other brand. it should cost something around 4.6 k , since your budget is about 6 k, you could buy a 1 gb ram as well.

today I visited Lamington Road, got new prices-nvidia 8600- 4300 Rs.nvidia 8800- 7000 Rs. Please suggest me some more cards, my budget is till 5k.
