Hi all,
I recently upgraded from broadband to fibre optics. My ISP is ION-DVOIS SSV (Navi Mumbai). I already had my own router — TP-Link Archer C6 — and the ISP provided a Syrotech GPON (SY-GPON-1000R-DONT) to connect the fibre.
Here’s the problem:
During the day, the Wi-Fi works perfectly.
At night, I turn off both the router and the GPON to save power.
Every morning, when I turn them back on, the internet doesn’t work.
The router throws the error: “WAN Port Unplugged – Check the ethernet cables.”
To fix it, I have to either unplug and replug the cables or restart the devices a few times until it connects.
What I’ve already tried:
Changed ethernet cables
Replaced the GPON device
Confirmed it’s not a hardware fault
Please note: This is a PPPoE connection.
My guess is that there’s some setting in the TP-Link Archer C6 that needs tweaking, but I have no idea what exactly. The ISP didn’t do any special configuration when setting up the connection.
If anyone knows what settings I should check (or has faced a similar issue), I’d really appreciate some guidance. This daily morning ritual is driving me nuts.
Thanks in advance!
