Need help with Beetel 450TC2 modem

You will have to do it using telnet or ssh .. little cumbersome process
 
If you are in chennai i can help or probably you can get the help from someone in your city who has knowledge of upgrading using a tftp server
 
Hi Everybody..

I would like share my experince here...

Actually I am aware of this restricition issue in airtel previously, as I experienced this from my friend's airtel broadband connection. And then the turn came for me to get an Airtel broadband conection, but this time I had control of the situation as I checked with the airtel broadband installation guy, about the wifi device limitation. He mentioned that limitation is called CAS by Airtel, and I asked him to set normal authentication method in order to access wifi devices. But he mentioned this can be done only with a letter mentioning the same which is to be signed by ourselves(customer) and when done with the same, he then started to update the modem firmware and set the normal authentication method for me. He also mentioned that, these has to be done/changed only during the time of installation, which is not possible to change, once the connection was setup. So, if you are aware/able to upgrade the modem firmware, then nothing has to be followed with the ISP regarding the authentication methods, in which case you can do it by yourselves. :)
