Hi, I bought a Philips dvd recorder from US. with ATSC/NTSC tuner in it. It has NTSC play back on it. I am not able to tune in INDIA cable TV channels in that set. When i plug in the cable TV into RF socket of the gadget. I dont get clear channels and the voice is rainy as well. I cant hear anything from it. While when it connect my indian dvd player output as input to the philips machine then i am getting the expected output. My question is "Is there any way to convert the indian channel signals in NTSC / ATSC (not possible i suppose) format". Can you please help me with this as i have spend a lot of money in buying that gadget. Also i have tried the output of other TV (changing to NTSC4.43 and 3.58) and input in this as component video still not working. But the same works for DVD input. I dont understand what is the problem.. Pleaseee help...
