So got the C6 and tried to set it up using WDS. It worked great till night. But in the morning, I cannot access the net. It shows "No internet, Secured" under list of wifi's available. I have used the below videos for reference to set it up. This issue happened 8-10 times yesterday before working. Earlier i thought it was due to the range extender, so I removed it. I had also enabled WPS for 5Ghz on Nokia, so disabled it. After these steps, it got connected. But today morning it is showing the same error. Nor can I access 192.168.1.2
I have factory reset every time there was an issue because I could not access the host or my default gateway for C6. Also, if I do not select "Smart Connect" under basic settings while setting up, the router throws an error, "Refused to setup"

I am assuming so coz the model is V3.20 which is later model after V2. But even If I want to check my firmware, I won't be able to coz I cant connect to net with C6.

Should I also setup my router afresh while connected to main router? While have selected dynamic ip while setting up WDS, maybe if that helps too.

So I tried by connecting WAn and Lan from main router to repeater and repeater to laptop. I did the following steps.
1. Got the update from TP-Link so downloaded it.
2. made a new admin password
3. followed the on screen steps and got the internet running on lan.
4. removed the lan and wan cable as I could not set same ip on wan and lan.
5. Connected to tplink generated SSID_5G and logged in to 192.168.0.1
5. changed ip of C6 from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.2 under Advanced-->Network-->Lan.
6. Uncheked DHCP.
7. Then under system parameters found WDS and enabled it for 5G.
8. Now when I clicked on Survey, I do not find my Airtel SSID_5G, clicked on search multiple times, it just won't show up.
But if I enable WDS on 2.4G and click Survey, my Airtel SSID_2.4G is visible.
Am I doing something wrong? I have no idea and completely brain frozen.

I am using Firefox for setup, if that helps.

Ok, so I factory reset ted my device and repeated steps from 1 to4.
On 5th, connected to SSID_2.4G and proceeded upto 7.
On 8th, on surveying wds on 5g, found my SSID and connected to it.
Will be keeping it under observation coz the same thing happened last night and today morning it started with its tantrums.
@Rickysin now that connection has been made, should I change my channel?

Edit:- strange, for both 2.4 and 5g ssid, channel is set to auto and greyed out. Can't change it. Can it be due to a bridge already established as mentioned?
Also this time I used chrome for setup as firefox was giving issues when connecting C6 5g ssid before factory reset.

Seems like it worked for a limited time. I restarted both the routers to check if everything is good and again it did not connect to both C6 2.4 and 5gz ssid. Also, cannot change the ssid channel on Airtel (main) as it is locked out..
Should I reset my Airtel router? Will I be able to connect to net after resetting?
@JB701 can't manually feed mac id as I cannot access the web interface. Would be able to get access only if I manually reset the device.
OK, so i tried to re-enabled the ssid channel in auto mode using inspect element and now set it to 44. Now its greyed out at 44.
Seems like I have to reset again and try it.

@Tejas01 if your ONT is new Nokia one then you cannot change channels i guess.
issue is that nokia in auto mode sets channel lik 64 and above depending on interference. And TP-Link might not support those channels in wds mode.

solution is :

either forcefully set the channel on nokia (there are threads in this forum which can show how its done)

or use etherner wire and connect tplink in access point mode
