I have a UL 1350 BB plan and im planning to buy a new ADSL Wi-Fi router. I am planning to buy the Linksys WAG54G2. I would be connecting 2 desktops (Wired) and 1 laptop (Wireless). I would also need to be connected to the office VPN on the laptop. So please suggest if this a good router to buy. Its costing me about Rs 3500.Also if possible, please let me know if VPN can be connected if the router is configured in the Bridged Mode. Thanks,Albin

In all systems select configure select IP address automatically.

Linksys WAG54G2 ADSL 2+ Wireless-G Router

thanks for the reply essbebe.when it says, "Supports VPN passthrough for IPSec, PPPoE, PPTP, and L2TP protocols", does it mean that VPN will not work if the router is configured in Bridged Mode? Do i have to set it up in PPPOE mode only?

If you have purchased the unit go ahead and do settings for Desktop/laptop in wifi mode. If you have a BSNL supplied modem,( mention make and model ) and using it for VPN do not change any settings now. Or Back up the present settings to say C:/My Documents/ Bsnl modem VPN working.2.Even if Linksy's cannot be set up for VPN use you can use Bsnl modem..
