Hi, I have an airtel broadband connection(Phone-line) of 512kbps and Airtel provided me with a Beetel 110BX1 ADSL2 Modem. Now, i am finding it difficult to move the whole thing along with my laptop. I tried for a Wireless connection thru Airtel and was said that 1500/- is to be paid and non-refundable.I found out that they will be using Beetel 450BX1, 450TC1 Wireless routers, But i am still wondering, if these can be bought outside and configured by ourselves. Please suggest how to COnfigure if i buy one and also the price to get an Idea !!!

2.You can return the 100BXI and adjust the deposit for WIFI router.
Even then , when you disconnect BB service WIFI router will have to be surrendered. In Airtel BB service we don't OWN the unit and it is RENT free
3.
Check up my "Sticky"post UTSTAR wa 3002_g4 quick reference

i wont recommend buying anything from airtel just buy your own wireless router ( Netgear, buffalo, D-Link or Linksys to name a few) price shud be less than Rs 2000 maybe even less than Rs 1500.for help with configuring the wireless, post here when u have bought your wireless router.
