Need urgent help with a new connection

Just had a first downtime a few minutes ago, red LOS light blinking. It immediately got flagged and I got an "engineer assigned" message for a schedule of tomorrow 8.30 am.
Hoping this won't be a recurring issue.
 
Update: It got fixed in the morning around 11am, seems some had done serious damage to the airtel box and cut all cables. I'm guessing a Local Competitor. Quite scummy of them.

About the data usage, I asked why it didn't show up, the technician said I'm on a truly 'unlimited' plan, and my internet connection will not come under the 3333GB FUP. I asked him, the reason how is it possible, he just said just enjoy, don't ask. :P
 
Not easy to cross that 3.3TB limit.
Also Airtel use to have a offer of 6month unlimited FUP free for new connection when this 3.3TB limit was not there.
Maybe you are on that.
 
Let's see, my family members are bandwidth-hungry and they usually do get very close to 4TB, I do not know-how.

On a side note, I asked them via mail regarding slow speeds to one particular server that I am using as a seedbox. This was their reply and they raised a completely unnecessary ticket.
1. Switch off your modem/router after use.

2. Kindly scan the PC with the updated anti-virus to ensure PC is free of virus and spy ware.

3. If using a Wi-Fi network, please ensure that it is protected by an encryption key to prevent unauthorized access and misuse.
I have never felt so dumb before.
Any other way, I can get in touch with their technical team?
 
Raise a ticket that your internet is not working. Disconnect the router while making the complaint. When the technician arrives, tell him the real story and he will put you in touch with tech team.
 
Or reply to mail that problem still exists after all those steps and escalation is needed. Someone will call you, ask him to conference with a tech team guy.
 
They fixed it surprisingly quickly, data is now going through their hurricane electric backbone instead of cogent. This is the best route since the provider is using he too.
