MTNL Mumbai New 16 Mbps plans on both ADSL and VDSL

nice download but why is the upload so bad? i m getting 1.7mbps upload with my 8mbps plan, dunno if 0.23mb will be enough for my online gaming needs, do you play games online? if so any difference in quality?
also did you change the plan to 16mbps by calling them? is it the vdsl 2050/- plan?

What's unsure about it? It was certainly a BAD decision! :rofl:

With 50 GB transfer limit and 512 kbps FUP speed, MTNL can shove this plan up their dirty place.

For 16 GB speed, they must provide higher FUP limit plans.
1. For Rs. 2200, they can give 100 GB limit.
2. For Rs. 2800, 150 GB download limit or something on similar lines.

1.5 Mbps FUP speed is a must. Anything below is just a laggy internet experience.

I agree the above 2 are still pushing the limits of what normal MTNL customers are willing to pay for internet, but the plans would be in line with MTNL's current offering.

Issue is the upload speed. I think they've reduced it to allow for 16mbps downstream. Currently synced at 18mbit down and 502k up.

Gave an online request via selfcare two weeks ago, plan was changed next day. But as usual, they didn't fix the sync speed. Called 12540 today to get that fixed.

hmmmmm, here my are my line stats, you think my line can handle 16mbps? don't mind trying it if the line can handle it.
SNR MARGIN DOWNSTREAM- 13.8
UPSTREAM- 11.9
LINE ATTENUATION DOWNSTREAM 26.5
UPSTREAM 15.8

Nope. Your line can't. I was at 26dB down snr on 8 Mbps. On 16 Mbps, down snr is 10 dB.
