they accepted my request,
just had a word with mtnl guy, he says if i have my own modem solution then they have no issues as they are runnning short of mtnl modems.
to which i said my current adsl2 modem will suffice given your sotl port solution to which he said yes they have to configure via sotl only.
now have couple of questions, just to confirm that my current Belkin adsl modem will suffice?
are there any other settings which i have to do on my modem/router apart from the mtnl guys doing the necesary changes from exchange?
also in case i have to buy a vdsl modem which cheap n best option you wud suggest?
kindly advise or inbox me please for direct contact.
@saifbukhari
Any ADSL modem will work for SOTL port. But if you have a dedicated wifi router, then the best modem to be used in bridge mode is TP-Link TD8816 V8 or TD8817 V8.
If you want to buy a VDSL modem, search for term VDSL on Amazon.in
We don't have much options here in India. The TP-Link TD9980 VDSL modem+router I had was not good at VDSL sync.
@d5aqoëp Thanks again mate - So if I understand you correctly My current Set up of Belkin N150 ADSL Wireless Modem/Router for ADSL along with a dedicated Netgear N300 wifi router should suffice , right? I dont have to do anything specific in terms of any settings etc on my end?
Also I agree to your Amazon thingy where in we have limited to No options for vdsl modem/routers, and they are expensive, like this :- Zyxel
@d5aqoëp thanks for the headsup, and pardon all the noobness related to vdsl which i had ended up asking you.
so router is okay, setting is okay, only mtnl part is to be done by raising speed.
also can you advise per my abve stats as the diag stats and adsl stats are different, you think its all okay ?
So tried calling 12540 like endlessly - and its permanently on Busy line.
Below is my wan status and ip, can you please confirm if Im on SOTL yet, as per some previous port i dooubt it, it should be on 120.xx range i suppose.
Also could you please advise on the previously posted line stats, since the interface of my router is different that the regular mtnl hence a bit confused.
Thanks @x720 much appreciated, any further advise regarding the line stats ? because if the line stats is okay then I may buy a vdsl modem. again thanks a lot in advance
