Hi Everybody,
I am new to this forum and joined to discuss my problem and get suggestion from experience people around here

I have got new BSNL Broadband Connection at home (Home 1350UL) plan. But I have not taken Modem from BSNL becuase my Cousin have Billion Modem+Router in spare.

Once I got the username and password from BSNL. I myself configured the Billion ADSL Modem+Router to PC and get connected to Internet. But I am facing frequent disconnection problem and also the dowloading speed is slow in wee (night) hours.

As per the plan it is 512 Kbps speed. So, the downloading speed would be around 50-55 KB/sec. But I am getting around 10-15 KB/sec.

I need your suggestion to get things correct.

Thanks in Advance

seems normal.
Check recommendations at speedguide.net to improve speed.

I have the same router and the same plan, but I've got great speeds.
will guide him to get "great speeds".

@op I have the same router and the same plan, but I've got great speeds.

Thanks for your reply. As I mentioned in my post that the speed seems to be slow 10-12 Kb/sec during night time say about from 1 AM and sometimes in day peak hours and I am not able to figure out why Is that so only in night time. Please look at my Modem settings and SNR values below that may be causing this problem. Please let me know if you need to look at some advanced router details. Sorry. I can't post screenshots because I can't upload Images to any of the Image hosting website.

dude SNR is also a big problem here, ensure that it's higher than 20 for good speeds....go on & lodged repeated complaints at bsnl offices & have the line checked & also change the cabling if you find that it's not done properly from the pole....

hi blu_6679

I have changed the Router settings as recommend by your provided screen shots and surprised to see the that SNR has increased gradually beyond my expectation and downloading speed has also improved tremendously.
