I am from Toronto, Canada and my entire family is going to India for 4 months on a vacation. We are going to Punjab, India ( Chandigarh, to be specific ). I will need a mobile connection there to communicate with my relatives, and friends. Plus, I will be traveling alone a lot, so I will need mobile connection to stay in touch with my family.
Now, here are some questions that I have regarding Airtel's service:
[*] Does Airtel offer "pay per second" PREPAID plan in Chandigarh? If yes, then what are the charges for local and STD calls per second?
[*] Do they offer any unlimited or close to unlimited SMS pack in Chandigarh? If yes, then how many SMSs can I send per day?
[*] Do they offer any mobile internet pack in Chandigarh?

Please answer the above questions if you can. I recently heard about TRAI's SMS policy in India which says that a person can ONLY send 100 SMS per day. This got me a little worried because I send a lot of SMSs per day.
