Hello guys, so my city has JIO fiber and Airtel Fiber all around except for my area only and i have been calling and asking them since last year and they just say 3-4months on and on , this month also i called them and they still said its not available in your area. They also acknowledged that theres a lot of demand in here and i asked them if theres demand, why arent you providing here and he didnt reply and rather told me to wait for a few days and get Airfiber???
Both Airtel and Jio operators told the exact same thing to me. I called multiple guys even told them that i will pay if there are some extra charges, messaged them,I tweeted them,i emailed them, emailed their nodal officers but no resolution. Its not like my area is on a hill or something that they are not able to lay fiber. Nearest Fiber box is 1km from my area. Surprisingly all the small towns nearby my city are fully equipped with both fibers except for my society(its 2023)
I have been using my local ISP that Charges 1300 for 150mbps connection which is very stable but combining this with my dth for tv, the overall costs go higher, so i thought getting jio or airtel as they provide tv+fiber and ott at cheaper.
Help me guys what can i do to make them do something?

There's nothing much you can do. Feasibility of fiber broadband depends on a lot of factors, including permission from the local govt body just to lay cables. It takes a lot of time. Even after cables laying, there are a lot of obstructions such as permission from RWA of the society to start services. No matter how many times you ask Airtel or Jio, if they are unable to lay cables or start services in your society due to any reason, last mile connectivity is always going to be a hurdle. Expanding fiber infrastructure from the neighbouring society(<100m) is also a big deal for any ISP.
It's better to just make peace with it.
If your local ISP is working fine then trust me you're not missing out on anything great.
All the OTT bundle crap you see around is of no use for most of the people.
You can consider Jio AirFiber for your TV needs, it's a nice package overall and is intended for people like you who need it for TV+OTT and where last mile fiber connectivity is not feasible.

I think Jio Airfiber would be good for Light users, but not for gaming(ping) as Mobile network can never be consistent especially when theres high congestion or bad weather etc atleast thats the case for here.
I'm tired of constant calling and emailing aswell. Will stick to Local ISP only.

well I had the same problem, just 100m ish away from my old home here I was staying, they refused to relocate the connection. I just took up local ISPs at that point and I do not regret it. Airtel upstream is way better than Jio for Odisha I would say. Not so for Tata tho.
