Hey guyz,

As we all know Tata Sky is having some space issues and hence is unable to provide new channels.

Now many other DTH operators are offering channels like:
1] Movies HD
2] Travel HD
3] CNBC HD
4] Colors HD

So you think that i should throw TataSky and buy some other DTH?
If yes, which other DTH provider you all think is best...

Not at all, Tata sky still remains the best quality of picture and sound money can buy on DTH in HD in India. They have never compromised on quality that is why they are not in a hurry to give you overcompressed channels with lower quality like Dish and Airtel do. Tata is currently trying to get not only extra satellite transponders on Asiasat thru ISRO but has also requested them to allow them to get a totally new satellite parallely, a first by any Indian DTH provider(to have 2 satellites for one DTH Service), with which they will be able to telecast way more HD channels and also keep one satellite as a back up JUST IN CASE something went wrong with the first satellite. This is awesome a move and says hell of a lot for a quality provider. So the message for you is, hang on for just a while, you will get it all, actually more than you can imagine, in a short while...

I returned back to Tata Sky after using Airtel for two years.Tatasky has a much better hardware than Airtel.Airtel compresses few of its HD channels. The quality of HD is better in Tatasky compared to Airtel. But Airtel does have better picture and sound quality for most of the SD channels. Its not a good option running behind other DTH especially for HD channels.Videocon has pretty much exhausted its transponder space.Dont expect it to add more HD channels without removing few channels.Reliance Digital tv doesnt have Discovery HD and couple of Star Asli HD channels.Airtel and Dish tv dont have ESPN Star HD.beleive me my friend, the grass is always greener on the other side.

Saw ads for zee studio, cinema, and zee tv hd today. What Dth are they on?

Not on any DTH, dumbasses are just watching themselves. Not on their SISTER co Dish TV as well

Thats funny! I thought they might have started on Dish TV atleast. V can just imagine when they wud launch on other platforms!

And those MORONS keep on creeping in Zee Studio FB page as watch so and so movie @9pm in High Definition on Zee Studio HD , But guess watch who is watching their CEO !

May be Mr. Subhash Chandra? Or SRK here again? :D (PS: I dont remember whats Subhash Chandra's exact position in the company!)

Subhash Chandra is the CMD of Essel Group which is the parent company of all things Zee. Zee CEO is somebody else. I saw him on CNBC a few days ago. Forgot his name. And yeah the fact that Z - HD isnt available on Dish sure is interesting. BTW do people even watch Zee these days?@kooldude: I was looking to setup a parallel connection at my parents' place. They already have TS+ HD. Basic req is Colors HD and CNBC HD. Airtel HD was looking as the best option as its HD offering is almost complimentary to what TS has. You say the quality isnt good? what exactly do you mean by that?
