No Unlimited 5G on Lower plans | Jio New Plans to Be Launched on 3rd July 2024

Yeah, the 5G connectivity is just the backup for me, in case the primary fiber link goes down. At Rs 299, doesn't make sense pay it every month as the fiber link is mostly stable.

I might just just stick to the Rs 479/84 days plan and do a data topup as needed.

Yeah, that also works. I don't think I ever seen my fiber went down more that 10 min and more than one time in last 6 months. 479/84 looks good to me too. Also 5G speed is shitter than 4G here

@_Dexter Here I can't even use it as backup. JioFiber rarely goes down, but when it does, Jio 4G/5G also goes down with it.

Also, for some reasons, browsing speed is slow af in Jio 5G compared to 4G, but speed is 400-600Mbps.

And that's the thing with Jio 5G. People only look at SPEED. But they don't realized that Jio puts shit ton of restrictions behind the scenes. Such as blocking certain VPN's so that they can see what people do and also bad latency that basically makes internet unusable

Jio 5g is good only for speedtest results in mobile I get 500mbps and over hotspot I get 200-250mbps but while downloading from google drive max speed reached is 13mbps means 130mbps is utilised never reached 20mbps mark. Bsnl ftth 100mbps plan cost 599 which is much better than jio 5g and for occasional disruption which happens in 3-4months I will do data recharge for jio. I think 100mbps is enough for 4 devices.

Any update on postpaid plans? I have 299 postpaid plan, will price increase to 349? Till now website shows same postpaid plans but they said in pricing pdf that it will increase to 349.

@noobtier Yeah same here, I am on the legacy Rs 199 plan, and no change for me either. However, my plan was not even listed in the tariff change PDF.
