Nokia’s comeback: Mid-range D1C Android smartphone to start at Rs 10,000

As reported before, the D1C will come in two variants with different RAM, camera and display specifications. The two handsets will differ in terms of the display with one coming with a 5-inch display and one with a 5.5-inch display. Additionally, one will come with 2GB of RAM while the other with 3GB of RAM and the rear camera modules will also differ, with 13MP on the cheaper variant and 16MP on the higher end variant.

Both variants will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor paired to an Adreno 505 GPU with 32GB of internal storage.

On the connectivity side, the device is set to support 4G LTE, Wi-Fi Bluetooth 4.0 as well as GPS/A-GPS. The handset will also come with Android 7.0 Nougat on board.

It is the lower end variant which will be priced at Rs 10,000 ($150) and the higher end variant will go on sale for around Rs 13,600($200)

Interesting to see how its sales will pan out. Hopefully the phones are good for rugged use which was what Nokia phone used to be.

don't buy blindly, it would be better to wait for 2-3 months reviews.

i am hoping for a good mid range phone in the range of 25-30K now that i have no plans to pay for overpriced pixel devices.

25 to 30k would mean OnePlus 3T.

would buy a Nokia over OnePlus even today. even though this is not really the nokia which nokia was before and after microsoft acquisition.

1. OnePlus phones aren't cheaper anymore.
2. Not one really knows if Nokia is Nokia of the past.
