I got my ZTE router swapped to the Nokia a few weeks ago and noticed that the 2.4Ghz band is not working as well as it should.
Using the Auto(b/g/n) mode breaks connection frequently to my Beetel 777VR1 acting as a repeater. Forcing the Nokia to use (n/g) modes don't break the connection. This isn't a big issue as there are no devices that use the old 'b' standard in my home.
God awful up/down speeds, never seen the speeds go up above 35 Mbps up or down. I've a 200/200 Mbps plan currently. Forcing the router to use only 'n' mode on 40 Mhz width somewhat helps- by increasing the speed from 35 -> 40 Mbps. The link speed on my desktop (b/g/n) and (g/n) mode is 54 Mbps while the 'n' only mode increases it up to 150 Mbps. But these modes don't really increase the speeds whatsoever.
My old TP-Link, ZTE could do 70+ up/down happily all day on 2.4 Ghz and my repeater had rock solid speeds over my room at the end of the house aswell. This Nokia effectively kills the repeater sometimes and I don't know what else I could do to increase the speeds on 2.4Ghz.
On the other hand - 5 Ghz has been perfect. I've been getting more than the rated speed on 5 Ghz somehow. I've moved over all the compatible devices over to 5 Ghz and it still performs top tier.
Also, Airtel with their infinite wisdom decided to lock down channel settings? I can't even change channels to be on a less congested one goddamit!
Is there any way I could get over 50 Mbps on 2.4Ghz with this router?
