Nokia CEO: We have to move with more urgency (Q&A)
When I started early on I asked a question: What do you want me not to change? They said, the sense that we do good things for society. It's helping people communicate, connecting the next billion people to the Internet, helping move people forward. Culturally, that has continued to remain important. Essentially, we help humans progress. We're not just here to sell phones -- we have higher aspirations.
Its always nice to hear this guy since what I have observed that he is very true to his words. confident, frank and understands what nokia was known for from long ago, before he took charge. Many things people had doubt about are going according to what he visioned and said. he had a reason for discarding many good old Nokia things, he spoke that boldly, people criticized it. but those things seem valid only now. for a long term, it is a best strategy nokia have at this moment. no doubt analyst are positive than ever since this strategy, investors are more confident, public reception is very positive and stock is going up. market cap now at ~15 billion USD enough to be termed safe. they are once again competitive and innovative, for why I like this company.. since I know mobile.

They seem to have strong reason for that. Many markets are yet to receive new products. There are some bits about it in that interview. BTW, their WP 8 devices are launching here in 1st week of Jan 2013. I am waiting for it and felt frustrated for delay just like many others but supply is short (lumia 920 specific thing) to the extent that even the very first markets like canada, US and germany are short of it. there are also some software glitches in lumia 920's camera and patch for it along with OS update from MS is coming this month end. so its better to be patient.

what about 620 since it is the phone which will sell in much higher volumes than likes of 920 and 820, at least in india.
