BTW as per comments on GSMArena, this Pure UI is developed by original Nokia, not HMD which makes Nokia branded phones.
Might be Nokia would ask license holders to follow this UI for future products?

Hmm, strange. The official Nokia specs page doesn't have Android One mentioned anywhere.

Might be its Stock Android like Motorola, but not Android One.
Google was suppose to handle Updates for Android One like Pixel instead of handset manufacturer. But it seems Google failed with this strategy.

the screenshots do look nice. but the bigger problem is that it leads to a mess for the end user with different apps having completely different design themes. it is very visible on something like samsung oneui. using material you theme results in some uniformity because you are going to use a lot of google apps.
