Recently in our area BSNL replaced the broadband equipment because of some techical issues. Previously my braodband speed is decent and my subscription is Home-500 plan. I have suffered a downtime of 10 days during the equipment replacement. AFter replacement I have configured the ADSL modem again and started using the broadband. Now I am experiencing very low speed for some sites and also sometimes disconnects. I have checked the critical parameter by opening the ADSL home page.SNR margin both UP/DOWN stream is > 12dBI noticed slight noice is hearing in the telephone line. Can some body suggest what could be the reason I am getting less speed and some time waiting for long time to load the pages. I tried calling BSNL and put a complient a week back. Till now nobody responded.

Welcome to Broadbandforum.inWhat is the attenuation data ? Which modem you are using ?Check speed at speedtest.net mumbai server. Did they ask you to reconfigure your modem ?What changes you made ?

essbebe, thanks for your reply.

My modem type is Dare-global DB-108 and the parameters are as follows
DSL Status

StatusSHOWTIME ModeADSL2 Type DownstreamUpstreamRate (Kbps)2047 861 SNR Margin (dB)22.9 13.2 Attenuation (dB)13.0 5.2 Output Power (dBm)6.4 12.0 Super Frames56324 56322 Super Frame Errors4 352
Do you see any problem with the above params. Since they have replaced the new equipment they asked me to change the user name and password for authendication. This is the only change I did.

Now I am not able to browse the net properly. Some sites are taking very long time to load and some times it says page fault.

Can you suggest me what I can do now to rectify this problem.

which mode are you using--pppoe or bridge.try with both modes to see if you get some improvement.i would suggest bridge mode.
