Internet was down since 19th this month, sent a mail to customer care 4 days ago after a lot of calls, got it back up today on 29th. But downstream is still 1024 Kbps on a 4 Mbps UL connection,
Downstream Upstream
SNR Margin
:
20.1 9.5 db
Line Attenuation
:
4.0 4.-7 db
Data Rate
:
1024 861 kbps
When i talk to their TECHNICAL SUPPORT TEAM about this, the have no clue what am i talking about.
They register it as a slow speed complain as doing it for the past 2 Months..

I guess banging your head on a wall would not help as well. So I recommend not doing that.

Shall i get a 1 Mbps UL connection ( as that is the best as i pay for 4 Mbps to get 1 Mbps). Or get a new connection from other pole and terminate this one as 1 Mbps is Useless and too slow.

I once paid my bill as soon as it was generated then i noticed drop in speeds after that i went through the hopeless process of complaining then for the next bill i paid it much later with a late fees, after that connection was working fine ever since that incident i pay my bills on last date of payment. Also did u ever get the promised speed atleast once?

Pgportal is pretty nice for service related complaints, I'm not sure why it hasn't worked for the AJ thing.
I got a credit of 12 bucks on one of my prepaid numbers (not much, but, any form of credit from a company like rcom, is well :D )

@OP

Give Pgportal a try, detailing the 1024 thing. Won't hurt.

I guess the reason for Al Jazeera ban is that the order came from the top management. Looks like a petty way to show your anger especially since the ban is applied through the Reliance DNS and not through the other way which was used to block file sharing services.
