i agree with Deepak Agrawal totally ...same situation is here.I ordered online through sbi debit card on 30th oct, payment of rs 1590 was deducted...and next day rep. called me 2 confirm my details. Then he gave me cust id and informed me that adtv will be installed by tomorrow. Tomorrow airtel engineer will call me and as per my convenience he will visit. But...he never came...after that i made a number of calls to CC (may be around 20-30) but may be they all are given the matter they've to speak...every rep said, sorry for inconvenience caused...hold(5min, chking details)...sending a high priority email (hold on, 5min)...thanks for holding...we will calll back in 24 hrs...prob wil be solved...same was reply of every cc exec. Even i talked to senior executive, supervisor but thats of no use. None of them have any idea. From every one u'll cm to know about something new.Days have passed, i am without dth connection. No hope, as we have no way left. I think thats only wastage of money...dealer work is much better...Now i think its much better to forget those 1590, rather than calling again...So my suggestion, dont ever buy ADTV online...:notallowed:
 
I so much echo your pain; Bought the same thing on IVR on 16 Dec, 10; paid 5850/- got some committments; Airtel customer executives say they are not liable for their sales executives not educated enough and giving any commitments over the call I made the payment on. On asking about the procedure to retrieve the call even if requires me to make some payment, they say its not possible. Also,from day 1 HD box provides frozen screen many a times during the day; registered several complaints got 12 reference numbers and today 5th March, the problem is still not resolved. They now want to give me a box which is filthy with shit on it and still can not guarantee that the screen freezing problem will be resolved; Basically its a TRAP by Airtel; Don't fall in it. Tata Sky so much transparent and helpful; if they charge extra, they also give service without any cheat.
Sunil Mittal sir: come back else these guys will ruin your hardwork.

NEVER BUY ONLINE FROM AIRTEL. Airtel is a big cheat you will end up paying money and getting nothing.

I am suffering from the same and read a hundreds of complaints about same on consumer fourm. Had booked a New HD connection and paid full amount through their IVR system the transaction ID 9997201 , customer ID 3004788183. The amount Rs3415/-was deducted from my credit card as per the package chosen. Now its been more than a week and I haven't yet got my connection activated.

Customer care is rude to hangup ur call on ur face. Nodal officer's commitment of 24 hrs saga continues to go on and on since last 5 days. Now they dont even reply to email.

Is anyone aware of any more escalation point let me know. They haven't published any escalation matrix because of their pathetic services.

Airtel is mess now...although i got it installed in 2 days..booked on 28Feb ..got installed on 2nd March.
