Bolstered by numerous members of a formerly-classified, government-funded study into the subject, UFOs have never been more popular. While
television news outlets and network shows attempt to capitalize on the topic, an independent film company based in Ohio has gone after the data behind one of the most bizarre topics in American history. Data that stretches far back into American history. On the Trail of UFOs documents everything from strange “airships” seen in the skies above the Hudson Valley at the turn of the 20th century, as well as modern-day encounters with black triangles above the Nevada desert. Actual footage submitted by witnesses of purported UFOs is featured alongside jaw-dropping recreations to help tell the story of the phenomenon.
Small Town Monsters is prepping the release of the series, and today has dropped the final trailer, just ahead of its’ debut on
Amazon and Vimeo OnDemand on March 20th. The series objective was to follow investigator, Shannon LeGro as she scours the United States in search of clues as to the origins of the unidentified flying objects. LeGro and crew filmed in 14 different states from coast to coast in an effort to meet and speak with witnesses, investigators, skeptics and even folklorists while documenting the topic. Episodes focus on all aspects of the mystery; from purported alien abductions to the recent “Storm Area 51” event that grabbed mainstream attention last year. Nearly 30 interviews were conducted with people who have claimed to either see a UFO (in some cases on multiple occasions) or who go in search of them.
