Samsung and Pixel phones are a safe bet on 5G bands because they license the bands from Qualcomm and provide a OTA update if they want to due to the sheer size of their production. I highly doubt if OnePlus would do that due to cost cutting
Pixel for example supports almost all 4G bands. Almost all alternate numbers are there

Bands on Pixel - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 26, 28, 32, 38, 39, 40, 41

They can remotely enable in future though right?
I think the hardware supports the same bands enabled in international variants.
Licensing fees might be the reason for disabling most of the bands in Indian variant to keep the price under 40k.
If they have to enable the bands they need to pay the license fees I guess.

Yep , but still one band will make the phone use 90% of 4G . The mmWave will take another 5 years to launch and give mmWave speeds in India .(If third wave does not come) By that time , I guess we can change the phone again

Life is running hearing 1st wave 2nd wave and 3rd wave. kab ayega mmWave

The western countries would be probably looking at 6G at that time.
