Can we get the same features that an Oppo F21 Pro offers in a Vivo or any comparable phone? Can we get them at a similar or lesser price?

What are the real benefits of an Oppo F21 Pro anyway? I googled and tried to read the specs but they didn’t make much sense to me since I’m far from a tech expert and a lot of it is just meaningless words and numbers to me. can someone explain it simply? Like, why is the camera so much better? Why are the battery and processor camera so much better?

Yes, the store I buy phones from showed me that the oppo can magnify even shirt fibers but why would I need such a detailed close up in a camera?

He also showed me an oppo priced at Rs 18,000 but I forgot to take the number of that so I could look it up. What do you think of oppo phones priced around Rs 18,000? I don’t need the very best one since I never play games on it but I do watch videos. How do similar phones of other brands compare at this price range?

Thanks for any info.

Not a phone expert here. But here is what I would suggest. You have basic needs. So, find a phone with a good display and large battery. If you have no need for macro lens cameras and similar stuff, ignore the camera component. I am personally not a fan of Vivo or Oppo. At least one of them follows the Apple’s system of having app settings in system settings and I find that very irritating. These are also the brands which are more focus on offline sales so you should focus on phones that primarily sell online to look for deals. Decide on a budget. Find a phone with good display and battery life in that range and go for it.

Thanks! Well, since no one else has replied, I take it that this phone isn’t something eagerly desired by all. The store assistant made it sound like it was the hottest new thing on the market.

One reason I was thinking of buying offline from this store is that he is willing to give me Rs 6000 for my one year old Redmi Note 9.

My brother gifted me this phone and even when it was new, I wanted to exchange it but at that time the store said they would give me only Rs 4000 or Rs 5000 for it.

Amazon does not take Redmi in exchange. And the store assistant told me that Redmi is notorious for having very high radiation levels.

Is this true?

In fact I read on this forum that cheaper phones have very high radiation levels. Can you suggest some brands that have very LOW radiation levels?

I don’t know if the store will give me this good price for my Redmi unless I buy a new phone from them.

Is there anywhere I can get a good price for my one year old Redmi Note 9? It’s in great condition, no scratches. I started using it only about six months ago.

I’m also thinking of exchanging my mom’s 4 or 5 year old Redmi 4. Though it’s working, it has very little storage and it sometimes hangs.

Or should I just buy her a memory card for it? her needs are very basic, so that could work. Will a memory card ensure the phone no longer hangs?

Flipkart has so many memory cards. Can you suggest a good reliable one? Thanks!

Offline stores aggressively push Oppo/Vivo because they get much better margin on it. Oppo/Vivo makes sense if camera is your only priority.

You can try selling your old device on Cashify. See how much they are quoting and decide accordingly.
