pathetic speed while browsing but good speeds when downloading

hey guys
in my tikona connection i am getting very slow speeds while watching online videos and streaming services(getting aroung 600kbps) but when i am downloading the speeds are very good(2mbps)
tikona cust care is hhelpless as they just say "plug out ur jack frm wifi router....plug in your lan cable "and everything will be fine (which doesnt make sense as even if i connect to directly through lan or wifi router speeds should b same)
what should i do???is it tikona net fault or some settings in my comp...(noote when i was using hathway under same settings i didnt have problem as such )

Hi i am getting good speeds at night and as i mentioned when downloading through idm also speeds are good but from 10am to 2 am(may be when net traffic is high)my prob persists....so do you think setting mtu works??Also i did it in my windows pc but i am connecting 3other android devices and how to set ping and mtu on android??

i am not sure about android settings... try with MTU in your pc and see if it makes any difference
