don't bother searching for a PCI card, they died ages ago and it's nearly impossible to get hold of one.[/b]

Wrong, there are tons available, from ATI , NVidia , all have them , and no they arent dead

ATI all latest cards have both PCI and AGP once, and what i heard, PCI once are faster

And yes mine does have AGP (8X i think)

Are you living in 1998? check the world mate, PCI cards are indeed dead. When i say PCI i Mean PCI (the ons before AGP) not PCI-Express(the current standard) the last AGP Ati card was ATI X1300Pro. indeed, didn't everyone Know ATi X1950XTX has a AGP version? It's a Miracle! Aall the Current ATi Cards (X1300 Excluded) Have ONLY and ONLY a PCI-e version, that includes ATi X1800XT, X1800GTo among others. which dumbass told you PCI cards were better than AGP? I owned a Intel 845 Mobo and it doesn't have an AGP slot. forget 8x!

@krishnan: u will need to upgrade ur system. or if u still want to buy a pci gfx card, thn the best option wuld be to buy a nvidia geforce 5200 based card. tats the last pci chipset by nvidia as per my knowledge.xfx has a pci card on this chipset.but the main challenge would be to find tis card in the market.since these pci cards r phased out, u wuld be having a tuff time finding it.
