Peculiar problem with D-Link DSL-2750U

So my uncle bought this modem from D-Link recently and the thing just wouldn't connect to BSNL Broadband in his place. All other modems work fine in his place. I took same problematic modem to my place to check and it works perfectly fine here.

What could be the issue ?. He uses a desktop powered by Windows 7.

I am using the exact same model on BSNL and it works fine... Maybe call bsnl support, they may be able to help you through any changes in setup..

I use BSNL Broadband and the same modem works fine in my place. It's just that this modem does not work in uncle's place. He has a backup modem and that works fine in his place.

Only thing I can think of is user name and password combination.

Is there any chance of mismatch between the modem and PC ?. I have double checked the password and user id. All are fine.

unless you are using usb to connect to the router, there is no relation between the computer and the modem/router. if the router is working, it would work on your phone. and if it does work on your phone, there is something wrong on the computer.

I can't use both LAN and Wi-Fi. It simply does not connect to the internet. Only DSL light turns on.
