@Neo8 chill bro don't get baffle with media Hit job. Check ijsa's post The association of dealers has some commission related issue with govt so they are "threatening " to go on strike, once it get settled they will reverse it.
 
yes people will have different stories has to what is happening and it will be mass confusion and panic has it always happens.
 
i read somewhere that some pumps would operate for emergency cases. though i find it hard to imagine how one can prove an emergency cases. i mean sure they would cater to vips and fire brigades and ambulances. but what about normal people.

also originally i had read that only one of the many organizations had decided to shut down pumps. so other pumps would still be operational? if that's the case, it would be lottery for them on sundays.
 
This is all media management by BJP......

Did anyone from EC came forward/ PC regarding the EVM open challenge..... but media is playing out for Govt....

Now coming to your point... I have quoted from Aaj Tak on both occasions..... and even Petroleum minister is giving clarification.... for what...

It is BJP & media collusion.....

Pakde gaye to dekhi jayegi.... we will play the blame game...... quoted out of context etc....

He said the association's decision was made in view of the Prime Minister's call during his recent 'Mann ki baat' programme to conserve oil to save the environment.Kumar, also the vice-president of Tamil Nadu Petroleum Dealers Association, said nearly 20,000 outlets in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh,Telangana, Maharashtra and Haryanawould be shut for 24 hours on Sundays, starting May 14.

There's a big demand for public transport in cities. Especially in morning and evening times where people go to colleges, offices and stuff

There's a bus every 20 mins at my place and even thats fully occupied with students and people hanging out of footrest in morning and evening. one can easily plan in such a way that theres' a bus every 10 mins instead of 20 atleast in morning and evening times. But no..

hope metro helps but seeing other cities, am not too hopeful
