PF Issue resolved using EPFIGMS site

I had initiated the transfer of PF from my previous org to the new company, late last year and though both my companies confirmed that they completed their part by March-April this year, I was not seeing any updates. For some reason I could not follow up & based on some suggestion was about to use the RTI route when someone suggested complaining at the grievance portal http://epfigms.gov.in/ .
I submitted with proof of submission (from both of my companies) & I got a mail that transfer is received and will be getting the credit. So looks like it really worked :thumbup1:
To add, I got the response within a week, which seems hard to believe...

I faced similar issue and later found that the new company was the culprit, they had lost some documents after receiving the request and didnt even bother to tell.
Please follow up with the new company since they need to initiate the process

Yup.. I was doing all that.. Right from Oct last year to March .. And I left them alone once they shared proof that they have submitted all docs to PF Office. I just thought let me give PF Office 3-4 months to complete the transfer, which was a mistake, because they did not do anything for 6 months. But within a week of filing a complaint they resolved it.
Ofocurse, I would still not fully celebrate, till I see the actual credit happening... But atleast I have an email proof from epf office that they have got it & they will be crediting it.

An update: The balance is updated now. Funny thing is, it shows balance up to 31st march 2013, but this amount which was not a part till say last month, is now showing up - Something like an old date entry has been put up because of which its now part of balance till March 2013.
