Hi,
Please help me to resolve the issue with my BSNL broadband connection. Mine is 256Kbps UL and modem is DNA-A211-I.
One day when my connection was down I connected to net by creating a new connection under network connections in control panel. Since then the INET led is not displaying eventhough the modem is connected to the system. So now I am forced to connect to net by using the dial-up using username and password. :(

When I am dialing it is connecting by showing "Connecting through WAN miniport(PPPOE)".

Someone please help me to resolve this issue and to connect automatically to net when system boots.

I searched this forum and I was not able to find an exact solution for this problem.

Thanks,
Jestin

click edit in 0 35 in WAN page.
uncheck "bridged"
select PPP/PPPoE
enter userId without @bsnl.in
pw
SAVE reboot wait for two minutes.

same settings for this wifi modem/router. Chennai Telephones- Changing password in DataOne Pre-configured modem

Thanks for your reply

I checked the settings as given in Chennai Telephones- Changing password in DataOne Pre-configured modem and found that my settings are already the same except for
Enable PPP Debug Mode

So I enabled this and saved and rebooted. But now also INET led is not displaying and I am connecting to net thru that dial-up thing. :S

One doubt: for PPP Username it is shown as "multiplay". But the username using which I am connecting to net is different. Do I need to give that username and password?

Thanks,
Jestin
