I've seen upnp issues with many of these onts. Like I said in my previous post, my friend had problems with warframe and fall guys on Netlinkont, only fix to get it fixed was to use the ont in bridge mode with a router.
@WieldyBinkie
Could you tell me the details on how to do that? I have a OP-XT71000N. There's a single LAN port in my ONT. I am not too versed in networking, so you gotta dumb it down for me a bit, sorry to say.
You may contact you router manufacturer via email. Your issue is completely router related.
I personally do not recommend bridge mode if you are not comfortable with networking. Many isps block mac addresses so your network may get blacklisted. You should ask your isp before proceeding ( mac address spoofing saved the day for me).
That's actually good news, because I don't have to deal with my ISP. I'll try to contact Optilink people. I'll see how that goes.
Also, I'm open to learning enough about this to set it up as a bridge. I may not know too much about networking, but I do have CS background. So I think it shouldn't be too bad.
Exactly, but in this case @amal95 is on IPoE protocol.
I would suggest you to address the issue with the manufacturer and ask them for a firmware update.( no need to contact your isp)
If not put your existing router in bridge mode and use your own router.(now a days everyone have a extra router laying around, ask a friend if you don't have one; now probably you'd need to call you isp to facilitates the process)
