I'm sick and tired of calling many ISPs.
Ok, here is what happened so far. I shifted to Doddanekundi recently and asked for Airtel's wired connection's relocation. They called me back to tell that the connection cant be relocated to the new area as it is more than 1000m away from the distribution box, so I had to cancel my connection. There is signal problem for even Airtel 4G at ground floor here (you can imagine the condition of my mobile's range too here).

Called up Tata Docomo landline customer care. They took my details on Sunday and told that they would come back to me to say whether the connection is feasible or not in our area. But no one called me till now. So, I guess I will have to forget that option.

Vodafone people have to still come and check my connection.

I'm not sure whether I must go for a BSNL connection, because service is very poor in Bangalore. My neighbour has got his LL + BB not workig for past 1.5 months yet got a bill of Rs 834 this month. So, I really dont want to go for BSNL connection.

ACT and Airwire people told upfront that they dont have services here in this area.

I see the ads of not that well known internet providers like Tikona and IRIS broadband near our area, but dont know how reliable they are.

If anyone has got any suggestions - please let me know. Btw, I am still using my MTS 2G dongle. But connection to company intranet is pretty slow using this one. Also, wired connections are more reliable than wireless as there will not be any signal problem.

Get BSNL. If you use the right channels to complain, stuff works well.

Hi x720, after trying out with airtel and ACT, I took BSNL connection because I had no option. It's been a month and my internet is not working. The phone goes dead, I raise a complaint, they take a week to resolve it and after less than a day phone goes dead again :(

I tried calling their office and I got rude response like "if line has problems what can we do? If you want come and give a letter will give you rent rebate". I even sent mails to PGM of KRPuram area but no response.

Can you tell me what do you mean by "right channels to complain"? I'm tired I paying a hefty bill of 1650 every month for a dead landline.

Hi Bhushan89,

I dint want to go for BSNL as my neighbour was already suffering for more than a month without phone/net connection.

I got tata photon max wifi data card which has got pretty decent speed in my area. I thought of not taking wired connection as I see people digging up the road on a regular basis for cauvery water connection. If I took wired connection, there were high chances of getting problems with newly taken connection.

What I would suggest you would be to put a free ad in sulekha.com and/or go to a nearby mobile shop where they sell dongle to ask them to come to your house to check connection speed. Pick out which one works the best for you and go for it.

IRIS is extremely horrible in doddanekundi. every month i get 1 week down time. I have to run around their office for 4-5 times every month. feed up with such things continously for 6 months and i moved to airtel 4G. yes airtel 4G is not very good here. the signals are too weak and there are more users. So the speed is damn slow.
