Port Forwarding over IPv6

Hello,

I switched from Jio to Airtel recently. As previously I was able to able to forward port over IPv6. As we all know it is difficult to forward port over IPv4 in CGNAT.
I have been using Jio IPv6 network with port forwarding working flawlessly, but now in Airtel I can not find any option for this . Tried and tested many router setting but nothing seemed to worked.
Also there is a big problem with their new Seracom router , you can only assign 7 static DHCP IP . It took me hours to get things working using Pihole DHCP. But this thing is sorted , now main problem is forwarding port over IPv6 and I do not want to use wireguard to forward port in CGNAT. Last resort will be using a static IP from Airtel but it will cost me 199/-+GST every month.
Has anyone done the port forwarding over IPv6 ? if yes please help me with this.

IPv6 doesn't do NAT on airtel so you don't have to "forward" ports. You have to allow inbound connection in the firewall.

Thanks for the response , I have disabled the firewall in the router and it works fine.

Make sure you have firewall running on the computers inside your network. Or people from the internet can directly access them. Disable SMB etc. if you are not using

Is there any way manage port forwarding via the router , there are three option for Firewall setting in router high, medium and low .
If it is set to Medium and Low it exposes all the port ignoring ports that is listed under Port forwarding rules. If it set to high it blocks all the ports.

The ONT provided by airtel isn't very flexible with firewall settings. If you want that flexibility you'll have to use another router with bridge mode.

I am trying to achieve same, i.e using PiHole as DHCP. But when I tried to set it up, after the DHCP lease time ended which was assigned by the gateway router, PiHole should be responsible to lease IPs but I see that router tries to assign IPv6 addresses to the connected devices. And suddenly some websites are not accessible.

So basically PiHole DHCP is not able to assign IPs. I have one Airtel router and 3 other routers connected with LAN as on bridge mode. When I try to set DNS of PiHole on Airtel router, then the other 3 routers are not able to forward DNS Queries to PiHole and ads are not blocked. Can you please help me solve this problem?

The ONT advertises IPv6 by SLAAC, the pihole's DHCP will only give out IPv4

Is there any way to disable IPv6 on airtel router? As by default DNS queries are not sent through pi-hole and hence ads are not blocked. Some of my iOS devices use fe80::1 as DNS server. And when I manually choose pi-hole's IP, then it works like a charm and blocks all of the ads.

Also there is a second problem

I have installed PiVPN and PiHole. As airtel connetion is on CGNAT, I am not able to port forward my PiVPN. Hence I am not able to send DNS queries to PiHole. Is there any way to achieve this? Any help would be appreciated.
