hi
i have a beetel 220bxi modem, i am currently using it in bridge mode as i was unable to port forward in PPPoE mode... can you please tell me how to portforward in PPPoE mode for this modem?

i have googled and none of the tutorials seem to describe it for my modem/fimware

Version and Information:

as far as i know there are 2 ways of doing this...
1. web interface from http://192.168.1.1/main.html
the problem is this does not show me "NAT" option under "Advanced Setup" as it is supposed to.

Other info:

2. Telnet interface:
the problem with this is that i dont get a "menu" like im supposed to here

can anyone help me port forward on this modem?
should i apply a firmware "update"? im currently on 3.06 as stated on the screenshots... was the NAT option removed in 3.06? should i try to go to 3.04 or something? i have the following firmware files with me...
"T2H-0Q-001.img" -> from this sites wiki
"T28-0Q-003.img" -> from beetel site

Thanks

Welcome to broadbandforum.co.
The modem is 220BX1 (one) and the latest No FW update possible.
Open the WAN page deselect "Bridged". Select PPP/PPPoE
enter your Airtel user name and password. Save and Reboot.
Now try the Advanced options.
Still NAT options not available/seen http://i4.tinypic.com/5y2f8ds.jpg same in 220BX1
call Airtel CC and exchange the modem.

Hi all,Need some help here..I got an airtel broadband connection with a 220BXI modem, on a PPPoE connection.I've tried port forwarding using the NAT option available. Now, although it accepts and saves changes, it doesnt seem to actually do the forwarding. The problem persists even after rebooting it..port scanning with nmap tells me that the ports its supposed to forward are still "closed"Am i missing something here? Thanks in advance!

/members/bharathravi1/Welcome to Broadbandforum.inHow do you connect to Internet ?Using Wanminiport dialer or "Always On"Please see POST No 2 here also.

My modem is configured to be always on for now...But anyway, its been permanently on for the time i've been trying forwarding..I tried setting up a forward from port 8888 on the modem to port 22 (ssh) on my system, but that doesnt seem to do its job!
