@ JB701 , you were right . Hathways PPPOE setup specifically uses "HATHWAY" service name. I tried tweaking this and by trial and error I was able to confirm that if this service name is incorrect , for example even if it is spelled in small case like "hathway" then connection doesnt work (not even with existing 670L router). So now I think I have to find a router which has this service name field. I had 2 spare routers Tenda and D-Link , both of them doesnt have this field. Hence not sure how to add this service name field.

@Jaycyborg I would recommend you paying up that Rs 100/mth get them to shift the ONT to bridge mode and cancel after 1-2 months. Airtel is trying the same trick with subscribers nowadays and they charge 2x that of Hathway. They're a 'premium' service according to them.

@ opomiyulen Even on WAN settings I dont see that option. @JB701 Thanks for the idea, I will try firmware upgrade.

Which plan you're using? Are you getting good/promised speeds?

@Jaycyborg the option for service name will come, once u select ppoe and save ur user name and password. It won't come unless u save ur ppoe configuration, i have seen it on ac10.
