^^ When did u preorder the cd? I havent yet received mine :(

i requested on the 19th April... the same day i made this thread

1 CDs requested on 2008-04-19. 1 CDs were approved and sent to the shipping company on 2008-04-22. Please note requests usually take from 4 to 6 weeks to deliver, depending on the country of shipping.
BTW the envelope also has an option for the server edition... maybe they now ship that too :whistle:
 
got mine a few days ago - but mainly interested in the stickers :)
 
Hardy Heron is the only Ubuntu release that worked on my system perfectly:yahoo:.I wonder why you guys ORDER a disc when you can always download it in couple of hours? For stickers? Printing media and Shipping costs real money, If you are supporting it then why don't you just place order when it's as cheap as 11.80 USD:thumbsup: Cheaper than one evening with someone special!!!!:evil:

11.80 usd x 40 = rs. 472
i would disagree on that. you can go out with someone special within that amount. :p

Got my v8.04 CDs..had ordered desktop 32 bit Ubuntu, Kubuntu and edubuntu!I have a problem though, I cant run the OS from the CD without actually installing it. It just shows the loading screen and then dumps me into a command prompt. Typing startx gives a message command not found. Is the CD they send a live CD? Or do i need to install it to actually use it?
