Found out today that Indusind helpline is a premium number. And premium numbers are not free to call from Airtel 99 rupee top up for landlines. 1860 series for example.

Yes, it is not a free call from even Jio!

So Reliance is now accepting payments for these calls? International calls also requires top up I think. And international roaming assuming they now offer it.

That was one of the changes from Welcome offer - HNY offer allows you to recharge & continue if you want more than 1 GB per day.

Ya don't know why these are not free from jio but from bsnl landline it's free in 1199rs. Plan and also from 9to7am.

One bank website lists these numbers as partial toll free. Which means that they are free only on some operators. I am guessing MTNL and BSNL only.

They must be having alternate number for call from outside India.
Got it (022-44066666)

This 1860 series is disguised as 1800 free series.
TRAI is the culprit which allow these malpractices. It's charged at std call rate not even local.
