Hi guys,I had applied for an prepaid card a year and a half back with vodafone with their standard billing plan . I also updated a validity coupon to extend it to to lifetime.Even after extending the validiety i had around a 1000 rupees of talktime left.Around a year back due to professional compulsions I was forced to use a company phone because of which I had to put aside the above obtained vodafone simcard . Now when i put the vodofone sim into my phone , the phone displayed an error that the sim card was not registered .So I immediately called up vodafone where I was informed that the phone was disconnected due to inactivity as well as atleast a Rs 200 refill was to have been made for the phone to remain active. I am given to understand the number I had, has been given to somebody else. So apart from the loss of the number , I stand to lose around Rs1500 .Till date I have not received any intimation about closure of my mobile account from them till today when I called up to enquire about the irregularity. When I asked for compensation on money I have spent on the talktime they straightaway replied that the refund is not possible and If wanted to discuss this matter that I am supposed to go vodafone gallery but the chances of refund are zero.Is this kind of attitude and business proper? This is like an MNC which conducts highway robbery . Would appreciate some help on how to get my money back and stop such MNCs to make fools out of public. Thanks and waiting for replies

no chance man!!! u need to have Rs. 200 recharge every six months, thats the policy..try contacting Nodal office... they may help....

you should had atlist refilled sm talktime, thats the only way to keep you sim active. It happened with me also 4 months back for my new postpaid no.They have not robbed u bt its the way it goes. Coz now customers r increasing n companies fall short of nos n also cannot start new series every now n then.so after 2 months of inactivity they call u n still if u dt listen, then after 6 months your no passes on to another new customer.

hmm.. I have not recharged my vodafone for 6 months. Do they give a remainder sms before disconnecting or not? I am not using that connection but I want that number to port after MNP! :thumb:

even i wonder if grace period apply if i forget to recharge in six months. i dont think u get any reminder. but u can call CC and ask when was ur last recharge.
