Hi, I have been using Airtel products for a couple of years and I have come to the conclusion that time has SERIOUSLY come to try alternate products due to total inefficiency of Airtel and their incapability to handle customer problems, be it regarding any Airtel product or be it regarding service request. Their left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing.I purchased Airtel dth connections about 2 years ago and since then there have been many problems with the quality of the STBs provided. There have been many hardware related problems and whenever one talks to them, they keep telling that the problem is related with some other department within Airtel and that "some other" department is never available for comment. Regarding the service requests, my airtel dth connection has NOT BEEN WORKING FOR 3 days now and no one in Airtel is ready to take ownership to solve the problem. I have called customer care, nodal officer and each has said only one thing that I should not worry and the connection would start working soon. However, it is 3 days now and it is still not working with no clear solution in sight. Also, on discussion with the nodal officer (supposedly the supreme authority to solve customer problems), after 3 days, suddenly now I have been asked for scans of some documents, as they themselves don't seem to have any record of the documents issued by them. Icing on the cake, the nodal officer told me I was being charged for a connection that had been disconnected almost a month back and even she had no information or idea why I was being charged. I think I know why I am being charged. I am being charged for Airtel inefficiencies and also for chosing Airtel. Its a company that has excellent sales people but horrible customer care mechanism. My advice to future buyers (for whatever it is worth) : PLEASE LOOK AT OPTIONS. DON'T BE FOOLED BY SMART SELLING AIRTEL SALESMEN.
