Minimum 4.5mbps and max 6mbps but mostly its 4.5mbps
Now after recalculating it takes 30 mins and 10-20 secs :yahoo:

It really varies from place to place. For me , personally, Reliance hasn't given me any trouble other than the occasional downtime (and is resolved rather quickly).
As far as customer service is concerned, they have (again, for me personally) always been helpful and have gotten problems (however rare they are) resolved fast. They even call up to inquire if my monthly bill is as it should be.
There's not much to really about and people need to put up with a few niggles here and there (especially if you're a heavy downloader). For 700 bucks, I get a constant 2Mb/s without any FUP. Yes, NO FUP. Don't like the service? Migrate to Airtel, Sify or BSNL and then stop complaining that Indians don't have any decent FUP-free plans. Happy downloading at 256/512Kb/s post 7-10GB for the same money. :D
My monthly average is 120-180GB. I'll probably hit 200GB by the end of my current bill cycle.

Ladies (if any!) and gentlemen, I present to you the "thunderous" Reliance broadband 4 Mbps ADSL plan:

Better opt for dial-up than opting for Reliance broadband. Reliance broadband has gone to the dogs since January 2013. It’s one of the biggest fraud companies in India.
Since January 2013, I’m facing several issues such as slow speed, packet loss, etc. There’s 40%-50% packet loss all the time. I’ve been constantly complaining, but they’re just not interested in resolving my issues. They’re constantly extending the deadline since February 2013. This issue was supposed to be resolved by 30th March. Now they’re saying that it’ll be resolved by 20th April. Call their customer care @ 1800-3000-7777 and you’ll get the same answer. Oh, did I mention that their customer care is extremely rude?
Entire Pune city (and some other cities) is facing this slow speed/packet loss issue since last 3 months, but they're simply not interested in fixing it.
Thugs hired by Reliance broadband are calling me every other day demanding me to pay up in spite of providing such poor service.
Update1: The deadline is going to be extended yet again. They've accepted that there's not enough bandwidth and the up-gradation work (involving crores of ₹) will be done by 10-12th of April.
Update2: https://broadband.forum/topic/64518-problems-with-reliance-broadband-thunder-plans/page-7#entry662618
Many cities in India are affected. Pune is worst hit.
This packet loss is due to congestion in the network. I was right.

My dad said: if everyone's facing the same problem, then it's not a problem. I've decided to wait for few more weeks considering the fact the same connection has worked well for me since last 2 years. Also, I was denied a rental waiver (for now). This packet loss is due to congestion in the network. I was right.
Thank God! They actually know the root of their problem and they are solving it :) Its definitely a good news.

Yes. :(
Btw, the above was told to me by someone from the local Pune office. I'm glad that at least it's a known issue. I think everyone except leased line subscribers are suffering from packet loss.

If what you're saying is true then I don't mind waiting since my exams are going to be till 15th April anyways. Plus they aren't charging me for this downtime. All I can say is you can only be polite and nice up to a certain point. Just tell them why the hell should you be paying for this. I told them(sternly) we cannot talk to our relatives in the states because of your connection quality, real time applications are impossible, websites like twitter.com don't open and that I better not be charged for this BS since my speeds are not as promised and the TRAI packet loss rule of

Even WB is starting to face the brunt of it. Pings are terrible and I can't even sit and play BF3/BBC2 for long because I keep getting kicked out due to high pings.
No packet loss, though.

Same for Uttar Pradesh (Pings) Now we just gotta wait till the next deadline. And I can wait for even longer as its not a software issue..some serious hardware is to be added which costs a lot.
