Question about extender

Hi! I have the 200 mbps plan of Airtel Xstream.
My router is the RicherLink one (RL841GWV-DGB )
I need to extend my wifi range. I was considering using some TP-Link extender, but now I'm thinking against it.
I plan on buying a router to use as an extender, connecting the routers via the LAN cable
I've heard about Airtel locking options in the router settings.
Kindly tell me if buying a new router is the best option for me, and also some tips on how to go about it.

You set the router as access point. Nothing needs to be configured on Airtel router. For it the router is just another device connected through ethernet.

@Sushubh Thank you for the advice. Would you advise me to go ahead with the router-LAN plan?

I mean any decent router like TP-Link a6 or c6 should logically work fine as access point. I have a similar system except I have another router in between.

TP-Link c6 is good in that range but it is complete trash trust me go with this Amazon.in
