Question about my LCD TV (Help!!)

Hi everyone!Susubh pls move this to any appropriate forum..Just got a question or should I say worry!!My TV (Sony bravia w300a 40" Full HD) has this weird black line about 20 cms long and 2 cm thick on the top left of my screen and it makes me so so worried that i spent a fortune just to see this... Please let me know what this might be. I should atleast be in a position to explain the serviceman what it is ,lest he/she might cheat me and charge me a fortune..Thank you in Advance.Don

it could be dead pixels. you should ask for replacements if they indeed are dead pixels.
