I am really interested in Hayai Broadband. This plan look's pretty attractive.Night Booster (10pm-7am)**Speed (Mbit/s)**Night Speed (Mbit/s)**Ex Tax**Inc Tax 2 5 1801 1929I most probably will be downloading at night only. What will be the minimum speed i'll be getting, and is it consistent enough. My mom requires the net in the day(Stock Market) ,so if the net goes down...thats messed up then. And i basically download only HD movies and Tv-Serials (720p and 1080p).Is there a Fair Usage Policy kinda thingy with this plan or will i be getting FLAT speeds as mentioned in the Brochure.and most important : What will be my upload speed?

hehe. most of these questions have been answered. no one can guarantee the quality of service right now because no one is getting served right now! you are essentially confirming here that you would be using the connection for piracy. how smart of you to do that? there is no FUP as per MG. but if you abuse the network (downloading excessively), they might have to take reasonable action. upload speeds are likely to match download speeds except for very fast connections where i believe he said that the upload speeds would be half of download speeds (talking about 10mbps+) i believe.

Thanks Admin for the Reply. Assuming I have my PC on through out the day. 9:00 AM - 3:30 Pm i usually don't download anything. So if i download around 50 gb a day.Does that mean i am abusing the network. ?

hehe.

what do you think... is 50GB data transfer a day abuse or not?

mg is online. i guess he would be here in a while to answer your question correctly!

i would personally believe more than 10GB a day would be abuse on any kind of speeds on a regular basis. i think 500GB per month is a reasonable limit. 1500GB? is a bit too much!

exceeding 500 gb would be abusing the network. Isn't this = Airtel's FUP ..I really wonder how MCG says there is no FUP on the plans.

I have answered these questions on another thread.

By the standards of pretty much any ISP in pretty much any country, yes.

hehe.

I already did... but then my phone's battery was low so I'm not sure if the post got through.

If you're downloading close to 1TB of information as it is now, you're probably already saturating a connection that is at least 3mbit/s. We would probably construe that sort of monthly usage as abuse, although we may not stop it, we may be inclined to ask you to curb usage, and take action were you to ignore the request... probably in the form of upgrading (no option to downgrade) or suspend the account.

We offer flat-rate plans on the premise If you want to use this kind of amount, we'd prefer you to go for a Data Plan, in which case you would be entirely entitled to use it.

I would agree.

Because there isn't a strict FUP. We have our preferences as to how much you should use, but it's unlikely we're going to stop it unless it is adversely affecting other customers. Downloading 1-1.5TB of information in a month may be construed to adversely affect other customers and thus be considered abusing the network.

We want to respect our customers by offering good plans at good prices and I don't think we would be wrong to expect the same.

He means a FUP with an actually FAIR limit :D

Yeah, pretty much.
